The Wagga Angels Community Hub is coming along, the Goulburn team made a trip down with a truck load of large items on Sunday the 29th of September which has made the place look more like a hub and less like an empty shell.
The Goulburn team also popped back in Thursday and we started building and stocking shelves, sorting stock and more planning , planning, planning to make this a reality.
the Goulburn team are coming back this weekend as well do do more building.
We will be holding a working bee this Sunday from 10am for anyone keen to come along and help us out as there is still SO MUCH to do !
Volunteer Training / induction will also happen this Sunday from 4pm at the hub, if you have already got a volunteer pack or if your keen to volunteer , this is the perfect time for you to come down. we will be looking at rosters , and running through all the finer details of what being an angels volunteer is all about. ALL volunteers are required to attend an induction session before they can be put on a formal angels roster, so please make sure you come along.
We are still searching for supporters to help us with this project , as a non funded project we are heavily relying on community support. if you know anyone who maybe able to help with the following please put them in touch with us :

Today's community day focus was journals !
we had a great time getting crafty , covering and decorating journals for our crisis care packages.
Hannah a lovely student who is volunteering with us this year as part of her Duke of Edinburgh awards came along with journals she had made during the past month and stayed to complete some more.
Deakin our super junior volunteer also come along to help and picked up his prize from our recent craft challenge , he was thrilled to bits !
All in all loads of fun was had and we now have some journals ready to go.
The next Wagga community day will be held on October the 11th, we hope to see you there !
A big thank you to all the wonderful helpers who came along today , your help is greatly appreciated and we hope you join us again soon.
in #Wagga its community day at the Wagga branch of Angels for the forgotten tomorrow ! and its perfect day for all you crafty people ! community day this month will be journal covering , the journals are an integral part of all mental health packs provided in our Teen and adult crisis care bags and also a great tool for expression in our younger crisis bags also.
we have completely run out of journals though so we need lots of help to cover as many as possible because on average we need between 300-600 per month .
free tea, coffee and cake will be provided but bring a packed lunch.
Community day is from 11am till 4pm and held at 63 Barretta Lane .
we hope to see lots of smiling faces no experience necessary just positive attitude and a willingness to help your community
Its $2 Tuesday ! todays the one day of the week when we ask everyone to dig deep and find that spare $2 dollars and donate it to help us make a big change in the life of some of our community's most vulnerable children youth and family's.
$2 may be a small amount of money but it all adds up and as we always say its the small things that make the biggest difference !
this week the challenge is when you donate your $2 brag about it on your social media channels and then nominate 2 mates to do the same , lets spread the word , and lets see just how big of a difference we can make !
the funds from $2 Tuesday each week help us to buy the items we need to full-fill our referrals , and right now we are desperate for so many things we are at all time lows , lower than we have ever been before so we need your help. heres the link to donate http://www.angelsfortheforgotten.org/2-charity-tuesday.html we update our progress all day , so you can track how we are going . thank you for supporting our appeal :)
Each branch needs various items to fulfill the specific referrals received by that branch, in Wagga Wagga the items listed below are what we need the most right now , we will update this list each month and post it here. donations of these items can be dropped to the Wagga Wagga branch during opening hours 12- 4 Thursdays and Fridays or other times by arrangement only thank you.
