Please give a very big congratulations to Nicole Baillie the Angels for the forgotten 2013 /2014 Volunteer of the Year
She has been an amazing volunteer often working in unbearable heat, or freezing cold beyond midnight , and early hours just to ensure that refferals are delivered to the most needy when and where they are needed , driving 600km round trips if needed to make sure remote agencys who needed it can receive the items needed for the vulnerable clients they care for . Nicole goes above and beyond time and time again.
Last Night she was also Officially presented to the Wagga Wagga community as the new Wagga TEAM LEADER . Nicole will now manage the day to day running of the wagga warehouse and team.
#goulburn We are seeking volunteers ! today i start my long list of appointments with lots of lovely people in our community to launch our wonderful angels branch so that we can start helping local familys , children and youth who are in care , crisis, homeless or at risk but with out volunteers all of this hard work will be wasted so i need your help !
the immediate tasks at hand are :
~ find storage and office site
~ find volunteers and build a local team
~ fundraise locally
im currently working to set up a information session early august at a date and time to be set , i need expressions of interests to help me decided the size of location needed for this , if you would like to volunteer please register you interest either via our volunteer link here : http://www.angelsfortheforgotten.org/volunteers.html or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
i cant wait to get the goulburn team up and running just like our other wonderful angels teams , who are making a massive difference in so many lives , i know here in goulburn we can do just the same if not more.

We would like to say a massive thank you to the management, staff and members of Anytime Fitness Wagga, Albury and Shepparton for this amazing haul of Easter eggs ! These have all been distributed this afternoon and will bring much joy to many youth , children and family's this weekend
Also a big thank you to our lovely new volunteers Elsie and Marcia for helping me today with the collecting, sorting, packing and delivery of all the Easter goodies.
Hi everyone ,
I wanted to pop by tonight and let everyone know whats been happening. a couple of weeks ago now i posted a message stating angels wagga was closed due to ill health , also you may have noticed the page has been rather quiet.
This year has been difficult for myself and my family ,we have had to deal with some overwhelming stressors, plus a couple of weeks ago i became very unwell and ive been having some cardiac issues and have been unable to do anything other than pretty much sleep.
My wonderful wagga volunteers have been great pulling together to get as much done angels wise as possible, ive also had some great friends making sure the kids and i are doing ok.
over the next month or so i have to have MANY appointments with various specialists including cardiologists, neurologists and so forth plus i need to work on building my strength up and working on ways to overcome and deal with these new hurdles.
Whilst i recover angels will continue to operate , however we ask for everyone's understanding that response times will be slower whilst other volunteers juggle learning to take over what i usually do on a daily basis.
To help our volunteers find their feet Angels is unable to take donations of second hand items for the time being unless it is something specifically requested for a certain referral.
this will allow our team to focus just on filling referrals and getting stuff to where its needed instead of sorting.
we will also be limited to only fundraising online as we are very short of hands across all branchs at present.
So my focus for the next few months will be online , we will be doing allot of activity's relating to raising awareness on key topics, doing research, conducting surveys and recruiting more wonderful volunteers to our established branch areas and the very essential fundraising and applying for grants.
I do hope everybody is understanding , and i hope ive helped everyone understand whats happening in the angels world for the moment.
page administrators for the next few months are myself ( Melina) our vice president Jade plus to of our wonderful founding members Maddie and Annette
A big thank you to amanda and danille for helping me create these wonderful pamper packs which are going to 25 disadvantaged girls who are going on a special camp to learn about hygiene, personal care and self confidence.
We hope they enjoy them as much as we enjoyed creating them
The Albury/ Wodonga Christmas appeal is now complete with over 200 Santa sacks of presents and hampers delivered for local children, youth and families.
