This year once again the Angels team rallied the troops to ensure our communitys most vulnerable experianced the joy of the easter period. thanks to wonderful donors 150 children in foster carer living in the lower riverina and upper murry areas recieved lovingly prepared easter packages filled with goodies. we are ever so greatful once again for the support from the amazing social workers and case workers who ensure the children most in need receive these very special gifts.
Also for the second year running our Goulburn team put on an amazing free community easter lunch feeding 108 patrons from our community who would otherwise go with out over the holiday period, this included:
Homeless individuals and families
disadvantaged families and children
the elderly or disabled with out families or freinds networks.
Our amazing team worked very hard with some dressing up for the occasion with 2 easter bunnys and one fairy present on the day to ensure a good time was had by all .
loads of easter eggs were hunted in the local community garden bringing many smiles to children of all ages.
all children from very little to the teens also recieved a large easter egg or bunny plus a little box of goodies to take home. every attendeee on the day also left with a full belly , yummy food to take away and a small gift.
thanks to the Grace uniting team we had an absolute blast playing outdoor games and learning how to do some wonderful card crafting.
We would like to thank all of our wonderful volunteers for the amazing effort and a huge thank you to those who donated food and offcourse easter goodies , with out this support the day simply would not have been possible.
