As promised, I told you that I would get back to you about the huge hand made donation that we received from the amazing Pauline Derich (see right) and her industrious Hervey Bay Knit & Natter group. They are part of the Knit4Charities team.
Pauline is a charity dynamo and along with her kind friends they have been knitting, sewing, crocheting and collecting items for Angels for the Forgotten for a couple of months now.
Collectively they donated (take a big breath now):- 210 - child/adult beanies 20 - scarves 66 - pairs of knitted fingerless gloves 10 - men's shirts & 2 caps 20 - knitted & crocheted blankets 78 - knitted jumpers - child size 40 - toiletry bags 10 - hand made pencil cases 16 - crafted coat hangers (plus a box of plain hangers!) 39 - girls crafted hair clips/bands 22 - stuffed toys (including 8 backyard buddies) 30 - embellished face washers 14 - rolls of fabric a pair of curtains & a full box of travel toiletries!
WOW! But seriously that is not all! I will put all of the baby items in their own blog post!
These items will be distributed to our branches that need it the most. Items will be sent via our SE QLD Branch to services on the Gold Coast and others will be sent to our head office in Goulburn in preparation for a long cold winter!
