Thank you Stacey, these are delightful!
Sadly, we don't always get pictures of people's lovely handmade creations as they are whisked off to be used as soon as they come in. Sometimes we are so busy when donations arrive we don't get to gush about them (as much as we would like) and adore them before they are gifted to someone in need.
So this is a big thank you & virtual hug to everyone that has contributed in some small way to the overall success of Angels for the Forgotten and our Annual Craft Challenge.
Turning your crafty thoughts into action is appreciated more than you will ever know.
Amazing crafters that have donated items recently include:-
* Lynette Irvine - Thank you so much for your beautiful baby blankets, they are much appreciated!
* Karen Biszark (Knit4Charities) - Angel blankets, fingerless gloves, feminine hygiene bags and really cool worm bookmarks! Thank you for your kindness!
*Vanya Bryant - The list seems endless! Kid's beanies, dresses, scarves, headbands, bags, blankets, knitted toy, (yarn & t-shirt). It is lovely being on the receiving end of your generosity -thank you Vanya!
Thank you to everyone that is making the
Marie Campbell from WA is quite new to the wonderful world of the Annual Angels for the Forgotten Craft Challenge, but she is certainly off and racing! We were thrilled to receive 7 hand crafted beanies from Marie in April and just wanted to say a big THANK YOU!
We are firm believers in the old adage 'Many hand make light work'. Thank you for taking the time to create the beanies for children. They will be so much warmer this winter with beanies to warm them!
GREAT WORK MARIE!
In May we received a parcel with a variety of items from Val. It included bookmarks, assorted key rings, lots of gift tags, kids cooking sets, tea towels, pot holders, oven mits, puzzle books, face washers, baby bibs, children's PJs, a dress and a necklace! So much hand crafted goodness!
Val Leahey from NSW is just one of those lovely people that keep on giving!
We regularly receive parcels from Val as she quietly goes about her days making and collecting items to donate to Angels for the Forgotten. Val never asks for thanks or makes a fuss, she just gets down to the business of being kind. If the world was full of people like Val the world would be a better place for it!
We are always very thankful for her lovely donations and just wanted to say a big thank you!
THANK YOU VAL
YOU ARE SO VERY KIND!
The delivery of all of these beautiful hand crafted items was enough to make the hills come alive with the sound of kindness!
A total of 7 packages arrived yesterday at Goulburn and the delight when they were unpacked could be heard around the room!
There was an amazing array of beanies, face washers, journals, toiletry bags, hair clips, craft sets, pencil rolls, feminine hygiene purses, colouring pads and Crisis Care bags that had been lovingly made by our crafty crew. There were also as a generous variety of extras such as toothbrushes, school supplies and hair bands to name a few.
All of these items will be included in our programs and supports over the coming weeks and months.
Thank you to all of our awesome Craft Challenge supporters for your ongoing commitment to Angels for the Forgotten!!
I am not sure what it is about granny squares knitted into a rug that conjure up a feeling of love..but they just do.
We are very thankful that Jenny has taken the time to make and send another bundle of love to Angels for the Forgotten (AFTF) Goulburn. These 12 crocheted angel blankets (1m x1m) will be used to bring comfort to little ones who have experienced crisis or trauma.
Another amazing donation, thank you Jenny from the little ones that are unable to thank you themselves.
