Wendy has created some delightful natural soy candles for Angels for the Forgotten Albury to give as gifts to mums that have been doing it tough in one way or another. She has made a range of divine scents and has housed the candles in attractive little resealable jars. The kindness does not stop there, it just keeps on coming with beautiful labels 'Angel's Wishes' and an incredibly thoughtful addition of inspiring quotes placed on the lid of the candle.
Wendy, your kindness will be welcomed
Angels for the Forgotten in Albury has received 60 teen beanies thanks to the creativity and kindness of Fiona from the Gold Coast. Fiona is a mum to 3 teenage boys and has made 100 teen beanies to donate to youths in need. She even road tested them on her own boys to make sure they were just perfect!
AFTF Albury Team Leader Jade was thrilled to receive the 2 parcels that were bursting with beanie love last week. Here is a picture of a few of Jade's favourites!
In a couple of weeks Fiona's remaining 40 beanies, along with some additional blankets and gloves will be donated to the Gold Coast Youth Service (GCYS) by our SEQLD Team Leader Danielle. GCYS are a non profit organisation that support homeless and disadvantaged young people on the Gold Coast, QLD.
A fabulous donation!
Thank you Fiona!
12 hand made quilts arrived this week at Angels for the Forgotten (AFTF) in Albury/Wodonga, and they are gorgeous! They were made by the talented Murray River Quilters and are perfect for inclusion in our Crisis Care Bags!
The Murray River Quilters are a club for patchwork and quilting enthusiasts. They are well known in the Albury Wodonga area and have been donating beautifully made quilts to AFTF for the last 6 months. They have donated about 40 quilts in that time! An amazing effort indeed!
It is always wonderful to see a local group get behind a local charity, and make a positive difference to the local community.
