This Pregnancy Support Hamper was lovingly packed by volunteers at Goulburn Angels for the Forgotten this afternoon. Tomorrow the hamper and a bassinet will be gifted to a local mum who needs a little support at this time.
Pregnancy Support Hampers includes a wide range of items for both mum and baby. We are thankful for all of the gorgeous hand crafted donations that we are able to utilise in hampers such as these.
This is a true collaboration of kindness. Financial donations, product donations, craft donations and volunteer donations of time come together to give a gift that offers practical support mixed in with a healthy dose of hope, dignity & joy.
A huge thank you to our amazing crafty supporters who continue to astound us with their talent and generosity!
Wendy has created some delightful natural soy candles for Angels for the Forgotten Albury to give as gifts to mums that have been doing it tough in one way or another. She has made a range of divine scents and has housed the candles in attractive little resealable jars. The kindness does not stop there, it just keeps on coming with beautiful labels 'Angel's Wishes' and an incredibly thoughtful addition of inspiring quotes placed on the lid of the candle.
Wendy, your kindness will be welcomed
That is exactly what we find when we open a parcel from Jayne!
This gorgeous blue teen sized quilt (1.4m x 2m) is exactly what we require for our adults and teens. Not only is it beautiful but it is warm and functional, aka just perfect!
Feminine hygiene purses are also one of our staple items in women's Crisis Care bags, and lovely funky and sweet fabric choices are appreciated by the women receiving them. So thank you so much for these Jayne.
Jayne has also sent the cutest little cuddle bunnies, the mixed bundle of pink and blue are just perfect for little hands to cuddle tight.
Thank you Jayne for donating
these hand made lovelies!
The delivery of all of these beautiful hand crafted items was enough to make the hills come alive with the sound of kindness!
A total of 7 packages arrived yesterday at Goulburn and the delight when they were unpacked could be heard around the room!
There was an amazing array of beanies, face washers, journals, toiletry bags, hair clips, craft sets, pencil rolls, feminine hygiene purses, colouring pads and Crisis Care bags that had been lovingly made by our crafty crew. There were also as a generous variety of extras such as toothbrushes, school supplies and hair bands to name a few.
All of these items will be included in our programs and supports over the coming weeks and months.
Thank you to all of our awesome Craft Challenge supporters for your ongoing commitment to Angels for the Forgotten!!
I am not sure what it is about granny squares knitted into a rug that conjure up a feeling of love..but they just do.
We are very thankful that Jenny has taken the time to make and send another bundle of love to Angels for the Forgotten (AFTF) Goulburn. These 12 crocheted angel blankets (1m x1m) will be used to bring comfort to little ones who have experienced crisis or trauma.
Another amazing donation, thank you Jenny from the little ones that are unable to thank you themselves.
Angels for the Forgotten (AFTF) at Wagga has been the lucky recipient of 6 pairs of toasty warm fingerless gloves. These have been kindly made and donated by Erika who is part of our AFTF Facebook charity Craft Challenge group. Erika has thoughtfully made a matching beanie as well, all in colours and sizes to suit the teen boys and homeless men that we support.
We love your gloves Erika!
Thank you so much!
Angels for the Forgotten in Albury has received 60 teen beanies thanks to the creativity and kindness of Fiona from the Gold Coast. Fiona is a mum to 3 teenage boys and has made 100 teen beanies to donate to youths in need. She even road tested them on her own boys to make sure they were just perfect!
AFTF Albury Team Leader Jade was thrilled to receive the 2 parcels that were bursting with beanie love last week. Here is a picture of a few of Jade's favourites!
In a couple of weeks Fiona's remaining 40 beanies, along with some additional blankets and gloves will be donated to the Gold Coast Youth Service (GCYS) by our SEQLD Team Leader Danielle. GCYS are a non profit organisation that support homeless and disadvantaged young people on the Gold Coast, QLD.
A fabulous donation!
Thank you Fiona!
