Goulburn Autism Social Club
Often many Children with Autism are unable to have an out of school activity , where they can feel included or part of the group .
Our Founder Melina Skidmore is a mother to two teen boys with Autism and she has experienced first hand what its like when your child is excluded or unable to find an out of school activity that suits, some times sport is just not what fits best with your child.
The Aim of the Social club is to provide a safe environment where Children with Autism can grow and learn, make friends , Build social skills and participate in an out of school activity.
Simultaneously an afternoon tea will be hosted for the mums / carers/ dads so that they too can build friendships, enjoy the company of others , network and enjoy a cuppa and cake.
Our new Autism social club room is under construction and we hope to kick off the club again by late August 2016.
Once we re launch, The Social Club will be split in to age groups, Primary aged children will be able to attend on the 1st and 3rd week of each month and the High-school Children can attend the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month.
